I had the priveldge of studying under Dr. Hetzendorfer and being counseled by her personally. This book was one of the key tools used to help me find healing. This book combines the truth of the Scriptures, the wisdom of experience, and the knowledge of research to help bring healing and transformation to broken peoples lives. After using the principles and wisdom in this book to find healing in my own life I feel that I can effectively counsel others to do the same. This book is essential for pastors to have on their book shelf because it deals with the roots of all kinds of issues that they will face in the ministry.

The perfect book to have on every desk in your house. Dr. Hetzendorfer has carefully created a piece of work that guides everyone through a process of healing from hurt that we have all experienced at one time or another in our lives. This is a must have tool for any pastor or Christian who is seeking raw and effective biblical truth and counseling skills to help the hurting.

I found this book to be incredibly direct and immediately helpful. Dr. Hetzendorfer has done a fantastic job of distilling primary helping skills into work with people. We have provided it for our entire staff team. I strongly recommend this as a resource for your compassionate work with your congregation.Bob ReeveSenior Pastor, The Cause Community Church, Brea CA

I am a pastor who regularly works with emotionally hurting people. I lead discipleship and decision counseling, among many other things. I purchased this book while in bible college and among all the books I've purchased over my years as a pastor and during school this is by far the one that I could not do without. It is easy to use, covers practical and real life issues, is biblically sound, and actually works! I would highly recommend this book to anyone in either the counseling or pastoral field. Without a doubt, a five star piece of work.

This book is a must have! If you have any friends who call you to vent their feelings and then need advice - this is the perfect book! It is an encyclopedia of counseling issues and how to help them. It gives you books to read that help with the issue and scriptures! I reference it all the time!
