After discovering these great books by Julie Lessman, I became a great fan of hers. I especially like the passionate and tasteful way she writes about romance in her books, but I am drawn to them even more because of the passionate way she loves God which is evident in each of her books. In this first book of the series the character, Faith, is a strong woman of God and it shows in the decisions she makes in regard to romance. It is a beautiful story of love and forgiveness. I recommend reading these books in order for a better flow of the story line.

I love this book! What a great story! This is a historical romance, but so much more! It is my favorite kind of book, because it is a story of family, friendship and love. Spiritual themes are front and center--integral to the plot. I'm anxious to read the next book in the series.

First of the Daughters of Boston series (and the overall O'Connor family saga) Julie Lessman's A Passion Most Pure ranks as one of

the best Christian Fiction books ever written ! Beginning in 1916 (before America entered WWI) A Passion Most Pure concentrates on Faith

O'Connor and her love for Collin McGuire a charming rogue she's known and loved since the 5th grade. Complicating this situation,though is

the fact that the heroic boy she knew in school has become a well known womanizer, does not share her faith in God , and to top it off is

secretly romancing her sister Charity (Which further hurts an already strained sister relationship) . Then just when you think things couldn't get

more complicated Collin finds himself falling in love with Faith. Many questions arise from these situations: Will Collin find God? , Will

Faith and Charity mend their sister relationship? .and will Faith and Collin get together? With the heart and artistry that Julie Lessman puts

in her writing you fall in love with the story so quickly that you can't wait to find out the answers.

This is one of the many reasons this book(along with the rest of the series) is one of the best Christian Fiction books ever

written. It would be hard to list all of the reasons in this one review,but some of them are : Not only is it about the romance between

Faith and Collin,but a wonderful introduction to the O'Connor family which is a real three dimensional family full of love, laughter,tears,and

arguments. It does a wonderful job of giving the reader an idea of what the WWI era was like ( a rarity since this era isn't written about very

often,) The story has a quick pace and a sense of adventure that takes you to different places and introduces different characters along the way without

leaving you confused. Another reason that also stands out is that this story breaks away from standard cliches. Faith isn't a prim,prudish girl

just preaching at Collin,She has deep faith for God and a passion that is saved for who she feels will be the man she will marry. While Collin

isn't just a handsome guy out to seduce Faith. He's a guy with feelings,deep hurts,and buried deep a sense of morality making it quite possible

for him to change. Summing it up this is an excellent book about love: love of God,of family,and romantic love by one of the best authors of

Christian Romance. Julie Lessman has given us a story of romance and inspiration that should be on everyone's must read list along with

the rest of this perfect series!

I read a lot of book and this is the first by Julie Lessman. All I can say is that it is absolutely PERFECT!! There is absolutely no dull moments. I simply could not put the book down. I've never read a book that made me happy, furious and made me cry all in one! I can't wait to read other books from this author.

Once I started this book, I could not put it down. I absolutely love the O'Connor family and recommend this book as well as all the others by Julie Lessman. This book is written with such feeling; passion for God and family and friends. Prepare to sit back and enjoy the read. I sure did!

I downloaded this book as a freebie (Thanks, Julie!), even though I have the three books in this trilogy. It is easier for my arthritic hands to hold an e-reader as these books are lengthy and heavy for me to hold.

I noticed some negative reviews. Don't pay any attention to them. Julie addresses issues that face real people and shows how solutions to problems and struggles within self and between family members and friends are found at the throne of God.
