    SUMMARY:

Finally relieved she and her son are safe after the death of her abusive husband, Dani Harding doesnt know where to turn when someone else turns out to be after her. Hiring Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge seems like a good idea until she realizes she truly cannot hide

    A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:

Boom! Right out of the gate, the action starts and doesnt stop until the end. Full of twist-and-turns in very real situations, the chase ensuing within keeps on without rest (including any for the reader). Quite the page turner, there was even a new twist to the storyline I had never encountered before and found utterly creative and even thought provoking. Prayers, faith and trust in God were incorporated into the story. As a new author for me, I am wondering how I never read any of her books before nowdefinitely a good read for mystery lovers. (Caution: make sure to plan accordinglylack of sleep and neglect of work will result until the book is finished.)

    RATING:

    5 (out of 5) pennies

Lynette Eason in her new book, Nowhere To Turn Book Two in her Hidden Identity series published by Revell takes us into the life of Danielle Harding.

From the Back Cover: She thought her days of hiding were over . . . but the danger has just begun

The day Danielle Harding takes her eleven-year-old son and flees from her abusive husband is the same day Kurt Harding dies. A relieved Dani believes she and her son are finally safebut in reality, things are just heating up. When Kurt was alive, he took something important from a mysterious individualwho wants the item back and believes Dani now has it. As she and her son run for their lives, they have nowhere to turn, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, she wont be able to hide for long . . .

From the first breathless scene, this tension-laced story will hold you in its iron grip as bestselling author Lynette Eason propels you along in a race to discover the truth.

What happens when the actions of others that you are unaware of refer back to you? Well most times it is innocent enough and nothing happens. Sometimes, though, whatever the other party did is dangerous and that action can get you killed. This is what happens to Danielle. She has no idea of what her husband did however the bad guy doesnt know that, thinks she has it and will kill to get it back. Nowhere To Turn is a thriller, no doubt about it. Danielles life is in great danger practically from page one and the danger grows with the body count. Just when you think you might know where the story is heading Ms. Eason tosses in another turn which you take at high-speed on two wheels. Ms. Eason makes her characters so real and you root for them to complete their mission and you root for their romance to blossom. Ms. Eason knows how to tell a story that keeps you flipping the pages and guessing as to who the bad guys really are. This is a wild ride read and I recommend it highly.

Nowhere To Turn is a story will keep you guessing, just when you think you have it all figured out another twist comes along.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and I finished the book in pretty short order. I had a lazy weekend and Nowhere To Turn was the perfect place to turn to for an exciting and thrilling read. Even the cover is delightfully mysterious and does its job well by enticing the reader to open the pages.

Lynette Eason not only knows her craft well, but she is also a master at her genre. I love suspense/mystery, it really is my favorite genre, and over the years I've read some great suspense books and some that were not so great. Lynette Eason was easily one of the best authors I have read, and if Nowhere To Turn is true example of her work than I can be assured that her other books will definitely be good.

The only bad, or rather sad, thing is that I have to wait a WHOLE YEAR to read book 3! I guess I will just have to console myself and read some of Lynette Eason's other books in the meantime.

Don't miss Nowhere To Turn, book 2 in Lynette Eason's exciting Hidden Identity series!

The intense opening took my breath away. My heart raced at a breakneck speed while the hair on the back of my neck stood on end and a knot of dread coiled in my stomach And that was just after reading the first page!

Eason has created another white-knuckle read. The intricate plot has so many twists and turns my teeth are still rattling. Amid all that suspense is a gentle love story that, by necessity, takes a back seat to the escalating danger. Watch out for the mind blowing gasp-out-loud-heart-in-your-throat moment (at least for me). My tummy plummeted to my toes.

I started to read Nowhere To Turn in the evening, intending to read a chapter or two. At least that was the plan. I closed the book at two a.m. after reading the very last word on the very last page, left with the disgruntled feeling of wanting more. That's what I get for not pacing myself.

Danielle has made plans to run from her abusive husband for months. She picks up her son and flies out of town. That evening in a hotel room she learns of her husband's death on the evening news. She returns to her home with a sigh of relief. But unfortunately her husband was a crooked cop and someone is trying to kill her to get to something he's taken from them. Danielle turns to Operation Refuge for help. What follows is a cat and mouse game with an unknown person. Danielle isn't sure if she and her son will ever feel safe enough to trust people again.

The author had my heart racing from the very first chapter. I simply couldn't put the book down. It was the type of book that grabs you and pulls you in. The characters were great. I really enjoyed the main two characters. I thought the author did a great job with the son, Simon, who is deaf. The romance was minimal, but that fit well with the type of story being told. The plot twists were perfect and a few even surprised me, which is nice. This is Christian fiction, but it was subtle. I wasn't aware that this book was in a series until I started writing the review, but I'm definitely going to check out the 1st book. If you like suspense, tension, a bit of romance, and Christian influences then pick up this book.
