Very well done. I have enjoyed them while listening to them along with my Bible.

Stephen Johnson has an engaging an easy to listen to voice. It is also clear that the editors were meticulous about the pronunciation of Hebrew names. There are no sound effects with the narration (which for me is a good thing). When you buy this MP3 Bible you get two copies, the whole Bible on one DVD, and another copy split into three CDs. Before beginning each book (sometimes small books are lumped together), the narrator provides a ~30 second introduction. The negative comments about changing volume and not enough pauses are fair. It appears that they may have used a different microphone or studio when they recorded revisions to the original recording and then they edited out pauses (maybe to squeeze it onto so many CDs).

Technical problems mar an otherwise excellent audio Bible.

I am really enjoying my new NKJV Audio Bible read by Stephen Johnston. I like his voice and reading style His voice is deep and rich, and his style is straightforward, with not much dramatic inflection. I appreciate that his style is more narrative in nature, and less interpretive. I did notice one reading mistake where Mr. Johnston read the same verse twice. The editors should have caught and corrected this.

There are some technical flaws that so far mar an otherwise excellent audio Bible. Some are discussed in other reviews. The only ones that I find serious enough to mention here are at the end of numerous chapters, where the last few words are cut off. To me, this is inexcusable. Other technical issues, such as slight changes in voice tone, etc., I find are minor and do not affect my enjoyment of this audio Bible.

If not for the clipped words at the end of several chapters, I would easily give a five-star rating to this product. As it is, it earns four stars and a solid recommendation from me.

This is a great product. Mr. Johnston's voice is easy to listen to and very clear. The only downfall was my fault: it is mp3 compatable, but being a "voice" dvd, it won't play on my cd player nor in my car.

A bit melodramatic at times with a bit too much bravado in the voice. Also, unnecessary rolling of the 'r's (as, say, they do in Spanish) in several words - this is Hebrew and Greek we're talking here, translated into English; no need to roll the 'r's!

And yes, the editing is noticeable, but I didn't care too much about that.

    Overall, I like the product.
