Desertflower5 Stars Out Of 5FabulousMay 10, 2015DesertflowerQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a LOVELY bible. I originally bought the red leather from another site and then saw the carmel European leather one on this site and got it instead. 19.99-deal of the century. The leather quality on both of them is excellent. The bindings are sewn and have one ribbon. Some of the pages are stuck together, so be careful as the paper is very thin and could easily tear. You can gently separate them. The pages have gold edges. Just about every other page has a fascinating article relating to archaeology or culture. The pages look "antiqued" like a tannish color, very appealing and also has many pictures. Jesus' words are in red, there are chapter headings, and text is in a single column. There are also study notes on every page, as this is a study bible. There are also colored maps and indexes. The font is small...I wear bifocals and cannot see the notes they are probably 6 point font and the text and articles is probably 7 point. Although I think the description says 8. Looks smaller than 8 to me. I have to wear magnifying glasses over my own. But if the font were bigger the bible would be too big to handle. It is heavy and very thick. The dimensions are about 9X6. It is my understanding as well that it is the NIV 1984 version before they made it gender "appropriate". I highly recommend the bible it is very unique and very well done. Some NIV study bibles seem kind of cheesy to me and this one is high-class and exciting to read. I learn something new every time I read it!
Stephen Sims4 Stars Out Of 5Almost perfect BibleFebruary 28, 2015Stephen SimsQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This Bible has the best leather cover I have ever seen. However, the print size is just too small. I disdain not being able to use it because of the print size, because everything else about the Bible is perfect.
Margie5 Stars Out Of 5For Use in Gaining WisdomFebruary 16, 2015MargieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Thrilling to read and gain understanding of Jewish customs and festivals, of ancient pagan religions along with their customs. The result is that I have gained a greater understanding of God the Father and our Lord Jesus. Thankful to the Holy Spirit revealing His wisdom through the historical notes in the Archaelogical Study Bible.
Robert Wright5 Stars Out Of 5Archaeological Study BibleJanuary 10, 2015Robert WrightQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I read this Bible several years ago & recently gave it as a Christmas Gift to a local minister. It is a great read. Not only does it do a great job with the Scriptures but the side bars & pictures bring the Word of God in alignment with modern day science. You will not be disappolnted!
