This book is an awesome witness especially to those who are struggling with drug issues. My son (22) has had a rough road of heavy metal music, drugs, lost jobs, etc. He never reads, but I got this book for him and prayed for God to take it from there. He is not only reading it, he is calling me every night to talk about his life, the book and needing Christ. Praise the Lord!

The world tells us that things like money, power, influence etc...are what's really important. Insert "Head" of KoRn. He had it all: money, power, influence, prestige etc...and was still lacking that inner peace and happiness. I just didn't get it. How could someone with so much give it all up?? As a KoRn fan for many years and someone that's fought his own battle with drugs and alcohol I had to find out what got him to the point of making such a large decision. Sure, I've been following Christ myself now for about a year and a half but comparatively I felt that I gave up very little.

Upon reading his story - which is a very easy read - I found that it was written in a way that makes you feel like your sitting with him in his living room and he's telling you the story himself over coffee. He doesn't hide anything from public view in the way he messed up and the mistakes he made. I found that for me this was key to understanding why Christ is more important than what the world says is important. After reading his story I now understand better how having "things" doesn't fill that space in your life. I now understand.

I believe that everyone will be able to apply at least part of his story to your own life and in doing so understand all the more our own need for Christ.

Bought this book for my 16 year old son who's a hugh fan of Korn and thinks that these types of bands/people have it "all" and have it all together as well. I've read the book and couldn't put it down. I'll be giving this book to my son as a "gift" to show him that this world has nothing to offer him without Christ... Recommend book highly for struggling families and teens. There is another identical book "Washed by Blood" by Brian 'Head' Welch that is toned down and also asks questions for struggling teens. Gospel message is respresented throughout the book.

I bought this book for my husband to take to a guy at work who always says he wishes he could get his life together and go to church. My husband has tried to explain how its actually just the opposite and that Jesus will help him but without success. Nathan felt led to order this book for him so now we are waiting to see how God works through this book. I am excited!

A real page-turner. The language, that many eluded to, is not gratuitous and is less offensive than the darkness of Mr. Welch's journey. If this doesn't help you shed the "Sunday Service as usual" attitude towards the fallen, then NOTHING will. I pray that Brian's journey in the light is not aborted by the pharisees. May God bless you, Brian, for sharing this raw truth.
