For the price, this is by far the best dictionary for Biblical Greek and Hebrew out there. Its English to Greek or Hebrew is invaluable.

I agree with the publisher that Dr. Mounce is the modern day Vine's. If you don't have you need to get it all the things that you wish Vine's was he (Mounce) fills in.

This is an unbiased dictionary that uses the correct meaning of words and am also ordering the books for learning Greek by this author. Helped me greatly without having to refer to a bunch of different references to try to get the true non ecclesiastic meaning for some of the English translations. Ex. church- definition from Oxford is building. This word is not in the Greek texts. Ekklessia is the Greek word which means the assembly or congregation. It is the believers not a building that is important. One don't go to church he is the body of believers where ever they go. Great service from Christian book also.

This is my first time hearing about Mounce. This is also my first book by him. This is a great dictionary along with "Expository Dictionary of Bible Words" by Stephen D. Renn, published by Hendrickson Publishers. The Hendrickson "Expository" is keyed to the KJV, whereas "Mounce's" ranges from different translations: present-day and the KJV. There is a great thorough article about knowing how to to word studies. I read the whole article. It's my first time doing word studies like this. It's my first time doing word studies at all! The only thing about using Mounce and the Hendrickson one is that Hendrickson uses Strong's numbers while Mounce uses both Strong's and GK (Goodrick-Kohlenberger), but uses GK the most in the word studies article and introduction. The Hebrew-English and Greek-English dictionaries at the back of the book use GK numbers, having the Strong's numbers in brackets at the end of each entry. There's also a Scripture index to show where certain verses in the Bible are mentioned and explained in the book.

I am very pleased with the dictionary. It is easy to use and better than Vine's.
