This book has been a godsend for me. My son married the love of his life and I was so excited to welcome her into our family. We had a wonderful realtionship during the courtship and engagement and then, like a smack in the face, the wedding ceremony changed all of that and I became the enemy. I can do nothing right, say nothing right. I have tried to give them space (they live close by, attend the same church, we live in a very small community), I haven't given advice, I have kept my mouth shut on so many issues but still, there is a wall that I cannot seem to break down. This book has opened my eyes to what could be the problem and what my roll is our relationship should be. God has opened my eyes through these pages and I am so grateful. I love my son and will do whatever I can to mend the relationship with my dil. I am still on edge, I am still guarded, but there is hope. 2 weeks ago they made me a "Nana" for the first time. God is loving, faithful and always with me so what should i fear?

I love this book. It was a fast, fun read, offering hope and help not only MIL/DIL relationships but also for all other relationships in life.

The book includes workbook pages at the end of each chapter so it would be an excellent choice for a women's bible study. Or even young teen girls study.

To give some insight into the writer; I found out that she wrote this book under an assumed name because her own mother-in-law is still living.

I will not use her real name here out of respect for her wishes, but suffice it to say — this book was written by a well known and beloved author/Public speaker and you will NOT be disappointed in your purchase!

Honestly, this book changed my perspective on my mother in law soooo much. I would highly recommend this book to any mother in law or daughter in law who have had enough. As much as I wish that my mother in law could read this, it helped me gain peace over so many of the obstacles that have been getting in the way of developing a healthy relationship with her. I would definitely recommend taking your time with this book in order to fully absorb the contents and apply them to your life. Overall, I would buy this book for every woman in my life and if I could meet the author and personally thank her, I definitely would.
