Homeschooling MommyAge: 45-54Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5Not a good quality microscopeOctober 25, 2012Homeschooling MommyAge: 45-54Gender: femaleAfter reading the other reviews we decided to purchase. I was disappointed. First, it is for grades 3 and up (on box after it arrived) not grade 5 and up as stated on CBD. Second, the important parts such as the eyepiece and turret are plastic. Third, the additional items included in the package are nominal. The one we received was clearly used and damaged so I can not make any assumptions if this is a viable microscope for elementary school age. You would probably be better off with the $25 price ranged microscopes. It is definitely not a microscope for middle school and beyond.

Cornerstone Christian Academy4 Stars Out Of 5July 30, 2010Cornerstone Christian AcademyThe microscope is very nice, and the many accessories that come in the case are great. It does need batteries, and you will need more prepared slides to finish all labs for the Biology course. However, it's an excellent buy, and price is affordable... the microscope will move through other science courses...
