Adam in Oregon5 Stars Out Of 5Well written, informative and enlighteningJanuary 20, 2019Adam in OregonI appreciated Hays way of making a very scholarly subject interesting and approachable to the layman as well as the seminary student. Although it is very meaty material it is not out of the realm of a serious Bible study or Sunday School class. The first five chapters especially are very helpful in giving the historical background, culture, language, literary styles, eschatology and overall cohesive, consistent message of all of the prophets of the Old Testament. This aids in the student being able to learn how to inductively study the prophets for themselves and come to their own conclusions about difficult, sometimes divisive topics such as eschatology. Hays does not include a biased opinion on that subject in particular, but gives all points of view. I think it is very worthwhile.

null5 Stars Out Of 5Get the book, get the video, study the ProphetsAugust 27, 2022nullI bought this book years ago and found it very helpful. I am writing this review for 2 reasons. First:
To refute the review by William B. who says Daniel was not a prophet. Well, my NASB Bible says in Matthew 24:15 "Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken by Daniel the prophet". That settles it for me.
Second:
Get this book, get the video and study the prophets. Use the video to teach a small group. Their message is very relevant to what is going on in Christianity today. -

The book is based on popular belief and not on the Prophet standards. I am a Christian, but Daniel and
Joseph were dream interpreters and not prophets.
Should have been titled: "A Popular Belief. . ."
