Homeschool Specialists' Spotlights
I used this workbook and CD set to encourage my children to develop an interest in classical music. They learned about the lives and times of 17 renowned composers of the Baroque through Contemporary ages. The book is accompanied by work sheets that include crossword puzzles, word searches, and other fun activities to help students retain the information. The listening CD provides music samples from the different composers. And it worked! My kids developed a love for classical music and enjoyed learning about the composers who wrote such inspirational music. Kit includes a 72-page book, 17 reproducible activity sheets, and a CD with works by each composer. -- Cindy

I really appreciated that the handouts are unbound and ready to reproduce. Very helpful!
Cheryl Ervin5 Stars Out Of 5January 23, 2009Cheryl ErvinThis product was everything I expected. The only thing I would change would be to make the musical selections longer.
T Daniel5 Stars Out Of 5December 18, 2007T DanielGreat series for anyone looking to further their knowledge of the world's greatest composers. My son is home schooled and uses the books as an introduction to classical music. He loves the activity pages and the CD excerpts as well. I bought the 2nd book as well.
Q: Are the activity sheets the same as the book? The description says this kit includes the book, 17 activity sheets, and the CD. Are the 17 activity sheets just copies of the ones included in the book? Thank you!
Yes, the separate activity sheets are identical to the ones in the book.
Q: What grade level is this product?
No age level is given for this curriculum, but the child should be old enough to have a basic understanding of music before taking the course. It is appropriate for young adults as well.
Q: is there an answer key for worksheets, quizzes, etc.?
No answer key is provided, but the answers can be easily located in the text.
