As stated in my review of the Single Edition combining all 6 Volumes, the 6 volumes are easier on the eyes. Matthew Henry follows and reports in a Chronology that holds true to Gods word. The 6 Volumes follow the KJV, as compared to the Single Volume that was written in the NIV to fit it all into one cover. It is ideal for the Student or Pastor, and most helpful as an aid in putting your sermons together. With the Matthew Henry 6 Volume set my Theological Library is complete, all for 1 addition left to finish it. That would be The Annals of the World: James Ussher's Classic Survey of the World, Book and CD-ROM.
Through CBD, it's made it so affordable for all my previous purchases, that I've been able to put my library of Theology together in so short a time.
Value is great; very informative. Matthew Henry is "old-english" but I wouldn't say that it's difficult to understand. He is somewhat Calvanistic in certain areas of Doctrine/Theology, so in reading, be cautious to "chew the meat & spit out the bones."
I have always wanted Matthew Henry's Commentary. Had it on my computer with my bible software but I would rather read it on paper. I find it easier than looking at a screen all the time. I feel so blessed. And of course, the price was so right.
