It is my little girl's favorite Christian singer... every song is so inspiring, and the music amazing ...we really enjoy listening and worshiping to Our Lord... thanks for bringing this music for all of us.
Mandisa connects to people who are hurting, searching and discovering God's strength in Christ. She is a joy to bring into your car, home or church function. Prepare to be blessed and let the Scripture in her songs minister to you. I saw her in concert in FL and she is a real testimony for the Lord. God's hand is on her.
If no one will be the first to write a review, then I will!
First of all, let me say, I do not have this cd, but once it was released, I got right on YouTube, and watched, and heard every song on this cd. Now whoa- this cd is like amazing!!! Mandisa gets BETTER by each and every new cd! Her voice is extremely amazing. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out, she deserves more than what she went through on American Idol. Simon Cowell is a complete mean person, who has no feelings for people, what so ever. He was so cruel to say what he did to Mandisa, back when she was on American Idol. I have read Mandisa's book, which explained her hurt in which Simon's comment hurt badly. I just want to say, that Mandisa Is MY role model, ( not idol, because we shouldn't have any idols, because God should be our one and only idol), by what she did, and what she went through, was a magnificent thing, that got her to where she is now. I would give ANYTHING to meet Mandisa, she is such a sweet person. I'm not trying to go on and gossip about her, but tell you how amazing she really is. She has this amazing, talented voice, in all of her cd's, but as I said, every cd gets better.
This cd is more than anything I could ever imagine! My favorite songs, that really hit God's presence, are " Face 2 face", "The Distance", "Dear John", and of course, Overcomer has always been my favorite from when this came out. She simply bases these songs on real life problems, or facts, as she does with all her cd's. I also noticed some songs on this Cd were similar to her last cd, What if we were real. But anyway, I love how she makes the songs matter, and how she bases them on real life, and God. I forgot to mention, that "What scars are for" is another great song, because I have experienced being hurt by one of my friends, who made me feel a scar, but turns out, a year later, that scar is healed, and that that scar, and misery I went through, a huge bright light was waiting at the end, a relationship found with Jesus Christ. I had a relationship with him, but not to the point where I knew were it stood, now I do. I know God is a faithful, loving, gracious father, who wants us all. And that's why I feel the passion to share Christ with others.
Back to the cd, the rest of the songs I wasn't that crazy for, but I want to tell you, Mandisa, if you ever read, this, please know that you mean so much to me, and that your songs hit the spot. Great Cd, she put her all into it!
