Last year, author Lysa TerKeurst released the book Made to Crave, providing the Biblical answer to why people diet, regain the weight they lose, and continue to find themselves stuck in this vicious cycle. Made to Crave helped thousands of people finally achieve victory in their weight loss journey. But, according to TerKeurst, We need more than 19 chapters to stay motivated and on track. Thats why I wrote this daily devotional with 60 inspirational entries. There is plenty of new material not in the original book. Rest assured, I also included your favorite nuggets of wisdom from Made to Crave. Just like the Made to Crave book, this Made to Crave Devotional is not a how-to get healthy book. It is the road to finding the lasting want to that extends far beyond the surface issues of weighing less and wanting to wear a smaller clothes size. Says TerKeurst: Theres a spiritual battle going on. Its real. And its amazing how perfectly the Bible gives us specific ways to find victory with our food struggles. Even for girls who dont crave carrots.
Lysa TerKeurst is the New York Times bestselling author of Made to Crave and Unglued. She isn't shy about admitting what a mess she can be. But she's been learning God's lessons and sharing them on her blog (www.LysaTerKeurst.com) and in her books. Lysa is president of Proverbs 31 Ministries and writes from her sticky farm table in North Carolina where she lives with her husband, Art, five kids, three dogs, and mouse that refuses to leave her kitchen.

I loved it and started to reread it when I realized there was a devotional. I bought it for myself and my daughter who is away at college. This book is full of tidbits and Scripture to keep your goal in sight. It helps you to keep your focus on God and better health. I encourage anyone who truly wants to change their behaviors and examine their motives from a Biblical prospective to get this devotional. It is a great addition to the book but if you're like my daughter with limited time, the devotional may be all that you need.
