Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Didn't want to stop reading!May 26, 2013Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Wow! Mary Ellis knocked one out of the park with this book! I could hardly put it down. Good thing it has just been a relaxing day around my house...perfect for reading. Love Comes to Paradise is the second book in the New Beginnings series. I absolutely recommend this book for fans of Christian and Amish fiction. It was full of interesting characters, decisions to be made, catastrophe and love.
Nora moves to Paradise to follow Elam Detweiler, who continues to straddle the fence between the Amish world and the Englisch world. Back in Harmony, Maine, Nora was intrigued with Elam. However, his antics in Paradise are making Nora question whether she loves him. And into the story walks Lewis Miller, who himself has followed the woman he loves to Paradise...and that woman is Nora. They met in Maine and Lewis is determined to marry Nora. Nora has some big decisions to make in the book and the story is highly enjoyable. I am really looking forward to reading the third book in the series. -

Nora follows the young man (that she thinks she is in love with) to Paradise, MO. Once she gets she mets Lewis. What's a girl to do? Two young men vying for her attention. Nora grows up a lot, learns to place more faith in God, has to make decisions as a young woman. You will love the people and feel like they are your friends. Mary shows a young girl growing into a mature young lady with the help of friends, love and faith. Mary shows the faith but not in a preachy way. She shows the natural progression of an immature young lady becoming a mature young woman through love and faith. A very good book and can't wait for another new book by Mary Ellis.

Jo Huddleston5 Stars Out Of 5Strong Amish WritingFebruary 20, 2013Jo HuddlestonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5When Elam Detweiler leaves Nora King's overly conservative Amish district of Harmony, Maine, Nora follows him. Is she really expecting sparks to fly when Elam knows she's in Paradise, Missouri? She corresponds with Lewis Miller whom she knew in Harmony. With Lewis's appearance Elam's interest in Nora increases. Ellis writes the Amish stories with feelings and facts. She draws her characters so we feel we know them and their dilemmas. Nora must choose between bad-boy Elam and her Amish faith with Lewis.
