Even in Rosey Corner, things change.

Since our last visit there, the War has raged long and ended at last.

Victoria Merritt has married and then become a widow to the war.

Mike has returned to Evie but his life goals have changed and that scares her.

Even dear Graham has mourned his hound Poe and adopted a stray Shepherd.

Some things, though, never change. Once a Merritt girl, always a Merritt girl. Even if Kate is now a Tanner and Evie a Champion and Tori a Harper with bittersweet memories, and Lorena a Birdsong who wishes she could know her first family.

Mr and Mrs Merritt keep weathering the years while teaching their children how to give and receive grace. Kate is still the strong supporter of her sisters. Tori is still reflective and prefers the solitude at her old fishing hole. Evie is still unhappy with almost everything.... And Lorena is still best buddies with her brother-in-law Jay. Jay himself, the unpolished gem we met in Small Town Girl, he's such an excellent character. He's new at both faith and family, and he loves Kate well.

Ann's books are historical in their settings, and I really enjoy the 1930's and 1940's flavor, and yet the character's emotions are timeless and resonate with me today. I had enjoyed Angel Sister, and loved Small Town Girl, but Love Comes Home was the icing on the cake.

For me, the first one was about finding family. The second one spoke to me about accepting new beginnings, having someone believe in you, and making room for blessings in your life.

This last one, Love Comes Home, was all about grief and life afterwards. My Grandmother went home to be with the Lord two weeks ago, and so many lines in this book struck me as true to my own experience.

I love this series, and I'm sorry it ever has to end, but it is a beautiful trio of Rosey Corner stories. Do yourself a favor and start with Angel Sister, then Small Town Girl, and then Love Comes Home.

Thank you Revell for my review copy!

4.5 stars. Ann H. Gabhart can tell a story! I laughed, cried, cheered, and held my breath along with the characters in this book set in Rosey Corner, Kentucky. Love Comes Home is an inspiring and worthwhile read taking place right at the end of WWII. This book is the third in the series but I had no trouble jumping into the story and enjoying a wonderful time spent in Rosey Corner. Gabhart's Southern accent added so much to the audiobook and I recommend checking out the audio version if you can. This was my first book by Gabhart and I will be reading more by her. The audiobook was gifted to me by the author, though all opinions expressed are my own and I am not obligated to leave a review.

I loved this book and the whole series. I recommend it to anyone who loves a clean heartwarming book with easy-to-love and easy-to-believe characters. I listened to the audiobook and the author's voice truly depicted that of the setting. Very enjoyable!

I have now read all three Rosey Corner books, and in my opinion Love Comes Home was the crown jewel. I could hardly put the book down. It just had it all. There was sorrow, joy, love, parting, reunion, and revelation. I don't want to give any spoilers, so I will be brief in my review. Suffice it to say, I could read it again and perhaps re-read certain parts over and over--it was just that good. The story will long stay with me. This book is definitely a keeper. I just wish there would be another fourth book in the series! I highly recommend this wonderful and "clean" book.

I enjoyed reading the Rosey Corner series by Ann H. Gabhart especially Small Town Girl. At first I did not realize this was a series of 3 books. I actually just happened to find out that there was a book #3 which is Love Comes Home. This book is so good! (I still need to read book #1, Angel Sister)
