Our ladies' small group Bible study meets in my home weekly. This book is a terrific guide for an intimate group study. Our group has grown closer and feels free to discuss personal issues of insecurity.

This book is not as involved as other Beth Moore studies I have done. We find it perfect for a summer study, as the weekly assignments are not as time consuming.

Although the 'big' book isn't required for this study, it is highly suggested that women read it before doing each section of the study. That book is also available in e-book form and at the public library.

So Long Insecurity, Group Experience Leader's Guide By Beth Moore. I read the book that this goes with (So long Insecurity), some time before I received the leadership guide and it is an excellent book! I was very pleased with it! So when the opportunity came up for me to review the leadership guide to this book it was something I jumped on right away! It took some time to be able to use it in a Bible study setting, but we did it! lol. It went over so well! There are so many things that woman think about themselves that just aren't true! Beth more does a great job of walking us through those things and teaching us the biblical truths about ourselves. This guide is easy to follow as well as really easy to use/plan! It is definitely a study you'd want to do with the ladies group at your church! I received so much positive feedback from this book and how insightful Beth Moore is into the lives of woman! I highly recommend people using this book and study guide to do a home group! Definitely won't be disappointed!!

I wanted to get together with a group of women and lead this study before I put together my review, but I wasn't able to do so. Because of that, I bought the book and the participant guide, and went through all three to compose this review. There is no DVD, which I think makes this study more accessible to some churches and study groups, and it is possible to do this study without either the participant's guides or the whole book. The scripture and excerpts provided definitely hold the whole study together.

I'm so insecure! It's sometimes viewed as the natural state of womanhood, to be insecure in who you are, and to underplay your relevance to a world that is determined to remind you of your inadequacies at every turn. The book, the leader's guide, and the participant's guide work together as a study that will change the way you look at yourself, particularly as a woman of God.

This study is not easy. It forces you to take a hard look at yourself, and to understand the distinct differences between what you see and what God sees in you. It's not a quick referent to the many times we are called children of God or heirs to the kingdom and how that should change our perspective; it is instead a deep dive into the root of insecurity in people, and the ways in which our responses and choices are subject to those foundations.

The leader's guide offers resources to anyone willing to take a group of women on a deep spiritual quest for the truths that resonate in the Word of God and speak to wounded souls about their worth. Proverbs 31:25, which says "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." is the primary Scriptural reference, but the study takes everyone much further than a single verse. As a woman, reading through this study, I was reminded time and again that God wants me to be secure, that he is the source of my security, and that EVERY WOMAN can find her true security in him.

If you have a group of women that you can lead in Bible study, this one is a good one. Leading this study will definitely encourage you, and through it you can encourage, grow, and lead other women to the root of security — Jesus.

It would be very unusual in our culture and society for a woman not to be insecure about something, whether it be her looks, her weight, her intelligence, her parenting skills, and the list goes on. This causes them to worry about everything–looks, finances and relationships. Beth Moore's book "So Long, Insecurity" discusses the many issues and problems women in the throes of insecurity face and why it is so important to discover who we are in Christ.

In addition to the book, a participant's study guide was written to help women work on their insecurities and come out with dignity and hope by relying on Christ. Small group leaders now have access to a group experience participant guide offering instruction to facilitate the ten-week study guide. The Leader's Guide walks you step-by-step through "So Long, Insecurity" and the participant's guide with steps and questions to promote discussion and draw women closer to one another and to the Savior.

Each class will be more productive if you allot an hour and a half for discussion. Some study leaders will find this type of guide helpful especially if they are new to leading Bible study groups. More experienced leaders may not think they would find this guide helpful; however, with a subject as tender as insecurity, this guide delivers what it promises.

This particular study is very personal and unique from any of the others Moore has written. Leaders should stress confidentiality, compassion and understanding during the meetings. Group members should feel free to share their deepest emotions without fear. I'm not sure this guide would create less work or more work for the study leader. Without the Beth Moore videotapes that typically complement her studies, the Group Experience Leader's Guide will offer a unique perspective on meetings.

If you are thinking about leading women on a journey to freedom from insecurity by facilitating a class based on "So Long, Insecurity" by Beth Moore, you will find this leader's guide helpful in leading discussion and bringing them closer to Christ. Each class is structured around a Warm-up, a word from Beth, Digging In, Time in the Word and wrap up followed by homework for the leader to help you deal with your own insecurity.
