In the book "Lonestar Angel," Eden and Clay Larson, who have been separated for years, are back together when they find out their daughter, who was kidnapped and presumed dead, was found. They travel to Texas to be counselors at a ranch for foster children to investigate and see if they can determine who their daughter is. There are some mysterious things that happen and Eden's past comes to catch up to her. In the meantime, Eden and Clay need to figure out where they stand toward each other and their faltered marriage.

This is quite an intriguing book that starts out fast and never lets us. I like the character development between the main characters, the girls, and the others. I also like the point of views between Eden and Clay and the strain they both have with their feelings towards each other and how they are slowly breaking each others' walls and rekindling their relationship. The mysteries and surprises that pop up create nice twists to the book and again kept me interested to see what happened next. I would definitely recommend this book to other people.

Five years ago Eden and Clay Larson's six-week old baby girl was kidnapped. They each blamed themselves. Clay buried himself in his work. Eden filed for divorce and thought their marriage was over. The story begins with Eden on the verge of accepting a marriage proposal from another man. In walks Clay and tells Eden they are still married because he never signed the divorce paperwork. Then he shows her a picture, that was sent to him anonymously, of a group of five-year old girls with a note on the back that says one of them is their Briana. They can find the girls at Bluebird Ranch in Texas. Clay and Eden sign on as counselors at the ranch hoping to find out which girl is theirs. Strange and frightening things start happening to Eden. Someone does not want her at Bluebird Ranch.

I couldn't put the book down from page one. There was mystery, suspense, and a love story all in one. There are several unexpected twists and turns through out the book, which will keep you guessing. I would recommend this book to anyone. This book is the latest in the Lonestar series. You don't have to read the other books to enjoy this one.

I was given this book by booksneeze.com for an honest review of this book. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

From the first two pages of this book, I was captivated by the story line. Eden was in a restaurant, just about to be proposed to, when her former husband showed up! Clay and Eden's marriage had ended five years before, after their six week old baby girl, Brianna, was kidnapped, and presumed killed. Clay had never signed the divorce papers, and Eden's lawyer had not followed through when he became ill. Clay had not given up on finding Brianna alive. Now he had news that she was alive and at a youth ranch in Texas. The ranch needed to hire a couple as counselors and dorm parents for foster children. It was a perfect chance to help all these children, but also to find and identify their lost daughter.

Clay and Eden moved to Texas to take the job and fell in love with all five of the little girls in their charge. How were they to find out which one was theirs, since they had not seen her since she was a newborn? From the first night there, some unknown person was intent on causing danger to Clay or Eden. Very soon, Eden found her life in lethal danger. It seemed someone on the ranch must know about and be connected to the kidnapping of their child.

Clay and Eden had both become Christians in their time apart from each other. They had to learn to rely on God and each other for their very lives.

Suspense, danger, romance, and love for children are part of this book. The hurts possible in the foster system and the hurts caused by divorce and unfaithfulness are also revealed in an instructive way.

I enjoyed reading this book. It seemed like all these things couldn't happen to two people, but if you throw in schizophrenia and drug cartels, maybe it could.
