Scott SnyderVaAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Large Print Living Bible -Very high qualityJuly 12, 2013Scott SnyderVaAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Living Bible: Large Print, Green Padded Hardcover.I had a standard size print Living Bible for a few years that I finally gave away last year because it was too hard on my eyes. I am glad Tyndale finally put out a large print version. This bible has the usual high quality I have come to expect from Tyndale. The quality of the binding is excellent and the green cover is padded. It should last a long time. The 10.5 type is darkened, almost bold which makes the type easier to read. I was hoping for a 12 point type version but with the darkened 10.5 type this is fine. Since it's a paraphrase instead of a literal translation it may not be the best version to use for a bible study but I think it is still unsurpassed as a reading bible. It is a particularly good version to get new believers, or pretty much anyone who is unfamiliar with the bible, interested in reading the bible. You do give up some of the majesty of some individual verses with this version but it really is hard to put down once you start reading it. The only thing I would like to see changed is to have the words of Christ in red and have a ribbon marker. Other than that I would recommend this bible to anyone who is looking for a reading bible.

Ken Woodruff5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful BibleDecember 5, 2018Ken WoodruffQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5When I turned to Christ in 1973, I read this cover to cover a couple times before feeling that I needed to go to the accurate New American Standard. I am re-reading The Living Bible, and I am sorry that I neglected it for so many years. It has a charm, warmth, and ability to speak to the soul that the New Living Translation seems unable to match. You should have a copy. Note: The larger print is wonderful. Much better. Just right.

Michael Johnson5 Stars Out Of 5Still a Jesus FreakDecember 11, 2018Michael JohnsonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The LB was the first Bible I read from cover to cover, back in the early seventies. It was understandable; with none of that thee-thou-withersocevest it listeth Shakespeare stuff that was no longer in English. Like so many others said at the time "It was the first time I understood what the Bible said."
This edition is large enough print to read at my age, good fake leather cover, gold edges and ribbon. Lays flat for easy reading. Nice dictionary/concordance.. -

I mean I really really like this Bible! If I am studying, I usually go to my KJV, NKJV, or ESV., however to just soak in God's word while i lay in bed at night this is my favorite.
