Tony5 Stars Out Of 5A practical book for an impractical worldOctober 27, 2010TonyMeets Expectations: 5I think if I were to sum this book up in one word it would be perspective.
How do we view the world and things that are going on. Do we view it as chaos, recession, depression....do we find ourselves depressed when we turn on the news and see the stock market, or that the unemployment rate has once again gone up.
Do we view this time we are in through Gods eyes and through His word.
This book was a great reminder of who it is that holds the future. It gives practical steps to staying strong when it would be so easy to give up.
This was a timely book for me as I fill out job applications, go to interviews, get discouraged and wonder what my place in this mess of life is.
There are very practical steps that helped me re focus, stay strong, stay connected and have hope.
If you turn on the news and you feel this overwhelming sensation that the world is falling apart I would recommend this book.
Stay strong, keep the faith, and cling to the one that holds the future!

AmandaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5September 5, 2010AmandaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleLiving With ConfidenceDr. David Jeremiahs follow-up, Living With Confidence In A Chaotic World, is even more timely than his previous bestseller, What In The World Is Going On? Again, he does a superb job of drawing on others writings to illustrate his concepts, but his current book has even more thought-provoking tidbits to challenge your passivity and energize your faith. He expertly weaves together Scripture, testimony, and reflection to take us step by step on a journey toward personal revival to ready us for whatever trials await us in these end times. While he acknowledges that hes no prophet, his message is no less credible than those men who gave us the original call to arms to engage in the Lords battle. May we heed that call still today even as we pray, Come, Lord Jesus, come! After reading this book, may you sense the urgency of the times and step up your efforts to bring more into the Kingdom.with confidence.
