j l5 Stars Out Of 5Favourite from my childhoodNovember 15, 2021j lQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I received this for Christmas when I was a child and simply loved it. The paintings enchanted me. I read it over and over and I still have it in excellent condition. It was an embarrassing amount of years before I realized the author was not actually a child when she wrote this which shows how well she reaches the audience.

Dennis & Linda Croy and family1 Stars Out Of 5February 20, 2002Dennis & Linda Croy and familyFrom the perspective of the home schooling family:This book contains several references to school. An aunt is doing the teaching here rather than the parents. Also--siblings are not implied to be among those in the 'friend' category...in fact, when the question is asked whether we have to mind our manners with our siblings, the answer is that as hard as it is, the answer is yes. Just a wee bit shy of the teaching in our home !!! One last concern: Other than a very brief prayer of "grace" at a meal (and this surrounded by very PC lingo), there is no mention of manners related to church or anything associated with a Christ-centered lifestyle.
