Katrice28Lancaster, MNAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great set!September 17, 2013Katrice28Lancaster, MNAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I ordered the second grade set of Lifpacs for my daughter, who I am homeschooling for the first time. So far all the subjects seem to be at her level. I love how it teaches about God in each subject!! They are just what I wanted. I do wish it wasn't quite so expensive, but in my opinion, it is worth it. I'm going to keep the teacher manuals for my next child, so I won't have to buy the complete set again.
As far as the subjects, there are a few pages in Math that get a bit long for her to keep her attention (just maybe too many problems at once) so I let her skip a page and use that for homework, so she doesn't get frustrated. The Language Arts also gets to be a challenge for her, because she doesn't like writing THAT much. But it is good, and we push through the five pages per day.
When I placed my order, it was not clear that there was spelling included, so I ordered a spelling book from a different company. HOWEVER, there IS spelling included in the Language Arts subject that is very good.
Most of the pages on all subjects are nice and colorful and help keep it fun. There are very good easy activities (that so far, only require things you probably have in your house already!) in the Science that have been very helpful to keep school interesting. She loves that!
Most subjects only require for the student to do 2-4 pages per day. -
Felicity5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent curriculum!December 18, 2014FelicityQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am very happy with this curriculum for my second grader. She used Lifepac at her private school last year, but when they closed down over the summer I wasn't sure what to do. So I bought Lifepac and decided to homeschool her. The curriculum is easy to follow for both of us and I am very happy!

The only thing that I dont like is that sometimes the material is written for classroom use. It will give directions to share with the class etc. It is a very minor inconvenience. I love how the subjects overlap, and reinforce each other. I have used KONOS in the past, and find this so easy, and appealing.

SharonAshland, VAAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5LifepacsNovember 14, 2011SharonAshland, VAAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5I started homeschooling after my son was in public school for the first two months of the school year. I was concerned about him being behind since he had to start a new curriculum in the middle of the year as well as adjusting to homeschooling and how the school work is laid out. With the LifePacs it was so easy to start with only 3 days of prep time available to me. The lessons are very easy to read and follow and talks directly to the student. This is my first time homeschooling and was a little intimidated on what to do and how much time and extra work that I would need to put into the day. I do not have to put in any supplements into the curriculum. I am finding that the work is sufficient for my child to gain complete knowledge on each subject. He is especially excited about the Science lessons and experiments. I can't wait for him to continue into the lessons as he is gaining so much more knowledge about these subjects and gaining study skills that he was unable to develop in a classroom setting.
