This is our first year to use the Lifepac Science. So far we love it. If your child enjoys hands on learning, this is the science for you. There are several experiments each week, and it requires dedication to your childs classes. To see the "light bulb" turn on in their minds, is so worth the effort for us.

Looking for hands on? This would be your book. God is working in these books. You can learn right along with your children in these beautifully put together books. We are very thankful for these heaven sent books. God bless your time and work in putting these out there to teach the children of God.

I am going on my second year of homeschooling using the LIFEPAC courses and I have to say that it has been wonderful. The experiments really get the child to see science in action and helps them understand the lesson in a more comprehensive manner. It is not the usual read and memorize course, it really gives a "hands on" approach to learning. While it can be a little tedious to gather all the supplies, a kit can be ordered from alpha omega that includes all the necessary equipment. They also make suggestions of home items that can be used and with a little planning ahead of time, experiments can be done easily. It is well worth the time and effort to conduct the experiments when you see the enthusiasm you get from the students to aquire new knowledge in this "hands on" manner. That being said I would not recommend it for those who don't enjoy the "hands on" approach to learning.

This is not a fantastically, colorfully, illustrated science curriculum. It is, however, a very academically sound curriculum. We like the individual unit format, and the mastery technique. I recommend this curriculum.

It was not a good choice to switch to LIFEPAC for my child. Experiments are good but when they take up more time than acquiring knowledge of science needed to understand the purpose of the experiment there is a problem. We didn't make it through the first unit before ordering Abeka. Hopefully, I can use it as a resource and/or reference material. This year will be an expensive one for science.
