There are vocabulary words at the beginning of each student workbook. There are science projects to experiment with, color illustrations, self tests and unit tests. A teacher book comes with the complete set. There reproducible charts to monitor your students grades, lists of items you will need for the experiments. Really, it's everything you need at an affordable price.

I first want to say that I love Lifepac as a general rule. I have purchased the entire Lifepac curriculum for 4th AND 5th grade for my son. I am very happy with every subject so far (we are just now beginning 4th grade homeschooling), EXCEPT science. The reason for this is that the entire Science curriculum for the Lifepac REQUIRES additional (expensive) equipment for regular experiments (in EACH LESSON).

Now, had I known that science experiments would be a routine part of the Lifepac curriculum - albeit REQUIRED - then I would not have purchased the science Lifepac curriculum. I do not have the patience or resources to conduct weekly science experiments with my son, although he sadly would LOVE to do them!

I just wish the product description explained more about the REQUIRED weekly science experiments.... other than that, I am extremely happy with Lifepac curriculum in general!

This is the first time I have ever given a truly poor review. We are currently on our fourth book in this series and, if possible, I would throw this curriculum out and completely start over. I have even spoken to the publisher, as I have found multiple inaccuracies and information that has been left out of the text. Other than asking ME to provide extensive written notes, the publisher seemed uninterested in any of the issues I have found. Overall, the text is way too minimal and many of the questions are not even covered in the text. The random spelling rules thrown in are out of context and useless. I have resorted to using this as a framework and basically writing my own curriculum.
