I really like these and so does my second grader! I would recommend these if you use Lifepac Language arts. I t has a lot of reading, which I'm glad for! The stories are written on a childs level, and my daughter seems to remember everything she reads in them.

I'm not a fan of the history and science Lifepacs. Mostly because I don't like the "self-learner" format. However, I think it works for Bible. It is sort of like an age-appropriate Bible study. My 7 year old daughter learned a lot from it. She liked to read it to her 5 and 6 year old brother and sister and had them help her answer the questions. It was really something they enjoyed doing together. There is a lot of reading and a lot of information. I'm not a big fan of the language arts drills in it (long and short vowels, etc.) however, we just skipped those parts. I would rather a Bible curriculum be simply a Bible curriculum. English lessons sort of take away from the material. However, overall I liked this. And it is very affordable. Especially if you want to purchase multiple grade levels for multiple children.

With this product, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Lessons are put in story form inside unit booklets and broken down into sections inside booklets. At the end of each section is a short self-test and the grading system is easy. Unit tests are included also and additional teaching tips and activities are offered in the teacher's manual. Great starting point for home schooling on a budget. The Bible curriculum helps teach the Bible in a fun and involved way. Very pleased.

I like the variety of topics and activities in this course. It's very simple, kid friendly with life applicable lessons. It does seem geared towards an average to below average 2nd grade student. Not for the advanced learner.
