AmyBurlingtonAge: 25-34Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Love it! Great series!June 22, 2016AmyBurlingtonAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We've been watching this series with our 6 and 8 year old and we all love it! It's crammed full of information on American history I didn't even know! I love how the main characters are young and journalist-types that are quite inquisitive. The series isn't incredibly Christ-centered, which I was kind of expecting since I purchased it from CBD, but it's not offensive either. My only complaint concerning it is the theme song--I don't know what the producers were thinking! And one line in the song specifically says, "I'm looking for a hero to idolize" which gave us a great opportunity to talk about how the only hero we idolize is Jesus.

Katie5 Stars Out Of 5Fantastic!January 28, 2016KatieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Enjoyable for students AND their parents! This series makes historical events and people come to life, keeping even my 4 and 6-year-olds interested. Touches on so many different aspects of the Revolution, including dozens of people and significant events, victories and defeats not only on the battlefield, but also in Congress, in diplomatic endeavors, and in the hearts and homes of patriots. For those concerned about violence, it shows many battle scenes with guns and cannons fired, but no blood or gore. There is talk of people dying, mostly in the context of encouraging those remaining to continue the fight for freedom. It is well-done, inspiring, and definitely worth the time and money!

HomeschoolChristianMomAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent value! 4 DVDs=over 14 hours!!December 26, 2013HomeschoolChristianMomAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This captured and kept the attention of my 6 year old for hours! Had to peel him away! It's great family-friendly animation will spark some good conversations about historical people, places and events with your kids. Did anyone notice, these 4 DVDs have a total of over 14 hours?? 40 episodes that are appropriate for children, have educational content, and are NOT dreadfully boring or terribly overdramatic? It's an amazing deal.

teaching4MOAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great preview to the study of American historyOctober 7, 2014teaching4MOAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I really knew nothing about this set when I ordered it, but it is a most have. My kids range 6-13 years in age and they all love it. My 8th grader is studying American history this year, and this was a great way to introduce him to real people and events that took place. He was excited to hear the "characters" and their quotes in the text.
And WOW what a great price, it is really worth it for the 40 episodes. I bought an extra copy to donate to our library, so more families can watch these videos.
Go with the characters through events such as: The Boston Tea Party, The Intolerable Acts, the Midnight Ride, the First Fourth of July, Valley Forge, The New Frontier and more. Each episode is a continuation from the previous, but moving on to a new event.
