I did not intend to read this. I bought it on the request of a friend outside the USA to bring it to him when we traveled to his country. But on the way I started looking at it, and have now had a number of intense sessions with the Lord over issues raised for my own life and leadership within my own ministry. Each lesson is well crafted, highly inductive and thought-producing, and on target for both developing and experienced leaders. It deals more deeply and helpfully with character issues than most leadership books--but does not stop there. It is written so that it could be useful either for a small group study or for individual study--and of course, study with a mentor would be beneficial. I will make this required reading for the next time I train a new crop of leaders.
