KimDGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Very simple to use and thorough!October 26, 2011KimDGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am using this with my 2 boys who are in 5th and 7th grade. It is a great review for the 7th grader and plenty of new information for my 5th grader. We are working through 1 lesson a day since they are older though. The boys love the format and so do I. It is very simple to use.

Rachel LandersAllen, TXAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great Grammar OptionSeptember 23, 2011Rachel LandersAllen, TXAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is an all-inclusive volume that covers dictation, narration, basic grammar and writing. It can't get any easier - read the script and follow directions to teach the concepts. The teacher's guide is very thorough and the student workbook is very helpful too. It is a little stark, but that is just fine for an older student. We began our homeschool grammar program using Shurley English which was good, but I like that this program requires fewer books and includes the dictation and narration exercises.

HH1 Stars Out Of 5DisappointedOctober 18, 2018HHI am very disappointed in this book. It is not what I would consider a Christian textbook. It's very much secular. It uses secular (romantic and athiest) poets and authors. It emphasises "dietites" and social stigmas. It takes the parts of speech to such a deep level, that it becomes too heavy for a lesson. It's too mcuh to digest in one lesson. My husband, a college English Professor, could not understand the use of certain authors and how it's content is not broken down enough for an 8-9 year old. I just wanted to throw my opinion out there, since I purchased this book thinking it was not secular and reading the all the rave reviews.
