I've gone full circle with bible translations having started with the KJV then buying and comparing 27 different translations to the KJV I'm convinced the 1769 KJV is the best. I spent 3 years capitalizing all personal pronouns referring to deity in the 1769 version. Reading "Life in the Spirit Study Bible"s study notes and articles makes me completely happy. The "Life in the Spirit Study Bible" is a fine Bible and with the pronoun capitalization's it's excellent. Just my opinion of course.

Try this Bible, you will find that the information in it is very inspiring. The notes give you a clear understanding of the verses that you read. I have had mine for 3 years and have purchased several and given them as gifts to different ones that are new to living the life in the Holy Ghost.

I just received this study bible today, and am so happy! It is hard to find a good study bible with an Arminian flavour. I find it so easy to research topics. One of the things I was looking up this afternoon was about drinking wine. I knew there was alcoholic wine in ancient times since the Bible warns against drunkenness etc., but was always puzzled as to why Jesus would choose to make wine from water as his first miracle. I learned so much about how they considered "good wine" to be sweet wine (ie before it is fermented to alcohol), and typically diluted "fresh" wine and fermented wine 1:3 so it stretched farther, and was less alcoholic. In the warm Mediterranean climate, the only way to preserve the grape juice was to concentrate it down to ~ 1/3 so the sugar content would discourage bacterial growth, & reconstitute it with water later or let it ferment so it could be drunk later. I really appreciated the honest teaching backed up by ancient writings as well as scriptural references.

I purchased this Bible twice, originally as a gift for someone & liked the ease of the study notes so made the second purchase also as a gift. You will be able to use the notes for your own personal enlightenment.
