NestorGender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Good, uplifting song setNovember 23, 2013NestorGender: maleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4My friend introduced me to the Gettys via this CD. The songs were beautiful, and the words meaningful. The songs were arranged as though they were part of a Sunday worship set, complete with a call to worship in the beginning! If you are looking for music that isn't too "rock"-y, or "pop"-y, this is a good CD to try out.

Tell us a little about yourself. Kristyn and I are Irish (Weve been Irish since we were born!) We got married 64 months and 8 days ago and have lived in Ireland, Switzerland, and Cleveland, OH (all the beauty of Ireland and the Swiss alps combined!)
What was your motivation behind this project? Since the year 2000 weve been writing modern hymns for churches, that is, hymns that teach the faith and that every generation can sing. After the "In Christ Alone" collection we wanted to do a second collection which was a little more Irish and a little more contemporary.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? People say that whole CDs as projects are going out of fashion, but nevertheless we tried to write a CD that was an organic whole, that was both a service of worship for the listener, but also a resource for people who look for music for particular parts of a service. This project has a bit more passion! (Anything thats a little more Irish has a little more passion.)
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? The personal response of any worship song should be to be more amazed at the splendor, majesty, and creativity of God. Each of these songs took different aspects of Gods character and so led us to this conviction.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Always changing! A combination of everything from Irish folk music to Chinese and Indian music to church music (I am fanatical about great choral music through the centuries) and classical music (Currently Bach and Stravinsky). That said, this year weve been to see U2 and Coldplay, and the most frequently played piece on Keiths iPod is John Coltranes Love Supreme. Quite confused really! Most of our inspiration for words comes from studying the One Year Bible, local church involvement, and cups of coffee with interesting people.
