CJAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Best Bible Study Guide I've Ever Used!July 2, 2014CJAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This study was thorough and thought provoking. I took my time to get the most out of it, answering not only the 9-12 questions per chapter but also exploring the optional "For Further Study" and "For Thought and Discussion" questions. This study guide helped me understand James' letter and taught me how to apply it to my own life. And if that weren't enough, this study guide also includes many "Study Skills" that explain things like outlining, application, cross reference, paraphrasing etc. Now I can use what I learned from those study skills to get the most out of each Bible book I choose to study.
PattiNorth CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great expository Bible study!January 8, 2013PattiNorth CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I really appreciated this study of the book of James. It is thorough, and for those willing to do the additional questions in the margins, it is challenging - and potentially life-changing! If you read and re-read James aloud, and also copy it over and over as you go through this study, you will become "quick to hear" the Lord. I suggest copying it from several different translations/versions. The study makes personal application practically inescapable, for someone who will honestly consider the Scriptures and ask the Holy Spirit for enlightenment. A short letter (108 verses), James can seem simple - but this study, if done with prayer, diligence and commitment, can take you below the seeming simplicity on the surface, and move you deeper and deeper into profound yet practical truths.

franJackson, NJAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5This book makes one think.March 27, 2012franJackson, NJAge: Over 65Gender: femaleThe book was thought provoking and challenging. We enjoyed the supplementary questions, and never felt we were just answering "busy" questions, as many studies do. It brings out the essence of James, which is "walk the talk".
