This was the first book I read on Christian counseling and it remains the basis for almost all of my personal ministry. It is deep without being wordy, and comprehensive without being overly so. I would recommend this book to anyone seeking to grow in the areas of personal ministry or informal counseling.

This book reminds us that we have all fallen short of the glory of God, but he graciously seeks to bring healing and rest to our minds and souls. As we go through the process of realignment and refocus, we are better equipped to share about this process with others. It is God's will that His children counsel and uplift each other.

It is not an easy read. This book is a tool that will be used on a continual journey of healing.
