Carolyn Belcher5 Stars Out Of 5February 1, 2010Carolyn BelcherAndrew Murray has long time been a writer of excellence. I found this book in comparison to other to be easy reading and very revealing to the christian who wants to grow, and we all should. Humility is a lost art that needs once again to embraced by the church.

earlybirdyNew York5 Stars Out Of 5high spiritual impact!August 15, 2012earlybirdyNew YorkQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I first read this book years ago and the Lord used it in a great way to impact my spiritual walk with Him. Since then I have re-read it several times, and I continue to pray that the Lord will develop this Christlike quality in my life. I have recommended this book to others and recently bought a few to give as gifts to people who have a deep desire to walk with God. I think it is one of the top ten all-time Christian devotional books.

This should be must-reading for everyone who loves and believes in our Lord Jesus. It helps the reader understand, and gives guidance for achieving, true Christian humility.

pbcook4 Stars Out Of 5Helpful Introduction to TopicMay 17, 2014pbcookQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up is the call of God for each person. If you desire God's grace to be shown more abundantly in your life then it is a requirement for you to be humble in His sight. The desire of most people is to be a somebody while nobody wants to be a nobody. These two contrasts cannot exist together: it is impossible to increase in God's grace while being prideful and seeking to be a somebody.
This book deals with this very issue and makes it clear that we must humble ourselves completely and fully in the sight of God. It is not very long but it does deal with the main topics of the subject of humility. Overall, this book is rooted firmly in Scripture and I recommend it to be read by all people who desire a better understanding of what it means to be humble.
