I love horizons. The program I feel is on the advanced side of the spectrum, but that's why I chose it. I have used horizons k-2 with my son and now I am using it with my daughter. The only problem I have found is that 4 phonics books is a lot for a kindergarten and I wish they would re-evaluate that.

Thanks again for these wonderful phonics books from Horizons! I have taught 7 of. our 9 kids (so far) to read with then and these books make our crazy language easy to learn!

Everything is based on phonics rules and builds on itself. My daughter has fun with this and is challenged appropriately.

I purchased this for k and 1st and there's to many worksheets. We ended up doing 1-2 a day instead of 4 and it was taking to long we aren't going to continue with the horizon phonics. We love Horizon Math and it seems to be on track but the amount of work in the phonics program is unrealistic for us. I am considering using the spelling program and using something else for phonics and reading. We are going to try phonics pathways before anything else.
