Emily Taylor4 Stars Out Of 5February 3, 2009Emily TaylorGood. Covers much more than I had expected for K. The teacher book seems incomplete because it refers to things that are not included. We do not always use the teacher guide because the student book is so self explanitory, but sometimes it is confusing and the teacher book is necessary. Probably not the best choice for a hyper child, but over all I like it.

Mrs SueAge: 25-34Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5May 21, 2012Mrs SueAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I will be using this program next school year, but it looks amazing. I used Horizons Preschool curriculum with my twins, and they have learned so much. They are more advanced than their peers attending kindergarten. I chose the Horizons Kindergarten curriculum because of the great success we've had with the preschool curriculum, and I cannot wait to get started with it! I gave the curriculum 4 stars because I haven't actually used the product, but I'm sure it will meet my expectations.

Genia3 Stars Out Of 5February 13, 2011GeniaQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 3This math curriculum has been a good start for my child.
I feel that she has received a good understanding of the basics.
We have skipped over some of the pages on money. I felt it was moving a little too fast and there was also some areas of counting money that were lacking in good instruction.
You may want to save yourself a little money and skip buying the teacher's guide. I've barely opened it. -
Homeschool Mom1 Stars Out Of 5The teacher's guide is not detailed enoughMarch 16, 2013Homeschool MomQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1This is my first year home schooling my 5 year-old, so I would very much like a lot of explicit instructions in the teacher's manual. This is just not the case with Horizon's program. It will say, "Teach the octogon." Okay, what exactly am I teaching? Number of sides? Length of sides? Interior angles? What? I don't know what's important and I don't want to have to sit and think about it. I can only imagine how tough it will be in higher grades where the matial is more advanced. Look elsewhere if you're new at this like I am!

SherryConnecticutAge: 35-44Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5No help at allSeptember 8, 2012SherryConnecticutAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I bought this curriculum thinking that activities would dominate our homeschool lessons which is completely contrary to what it actually is. As a former teacher, I have had to employ a LOT of ideas from other sources as the teacher guide simply says, "Teach tally marks" rather than giving ANY ideas for activities or hands on tasks. After a week and a half (and looking ahead in planning for next week) I am BORED with this curriculum and have just purchased a different curriculum which gives more ideas and is much more hands on.
I am very disappointed to have wasted my money on a product that did not live up to its description.
