I have loved using horizons for all three of my kids. I love the spiral learning process and that they give plenty of problems to master the topic but not to many to overwhelm! The downfall to this program is there is not enough explanation for teachers if they are not familiar with math. A teacher starting from the beginning shouldn't have a problem learning with the kids but you may have trouble if you the teacher are weak in math.

I love Horizons Math - I just wish it went higher than fifth grade!

I LOVE Horizon math! We have used it from the very beginning and have never thought of changing! I love how it is a spiral approach and that really helps my boys practice past concepts for mastery while learning new ones. I also love that you can buy the student extra practice worksheet that are in the back of the teacher's book already printed. That is such a time saver! But most importantly my boys love doing their math every day!

We love the spiral learning that the Horizons Math provides. It works better for us than other learning models for Math. I do find some mistakes or typos in the text, which do not take away from the learning, but it bothers me. I use Horizons Math for two children and feel it is a good value and a solid teaching tool.

Great book The kids love it, well as much as you can love maths, doesn't bore them at all, and they don't forget the things that they learn.
