I love Horizon's Health. It is a great overall study of health with a Christian perspective.

This is a wonderful set and we have all gotten a lot out of it. It covers a lot of topics which include physical and mental health. We are only part way into it and the one frustration that I have is that a lot of thir additional lesson resources-i.e. books that support the subject matter-were copyrighted a while ago. Many are from the 1970's & 1980's. I don't have a problem with that, per se, but it is just tough to find them in the local libraries. We don't always do all of the related activities, since we are just a family and this can be geared towards a family or a classrom environment.

Overall, a great product to indtroduce many concepts that should be talked about.

Horizon Health for first grade had some good things in it, but was extremely confusing in a lot of areas. Some parts of the book we skipped over because, even with the teacher's manual, it was not explained well enough for the student or teacher to understand what to do. We liked this book in some areas, but it could be improved. Since it is only a first grade book, and they enjoy the things in there that were useful, I would recommend this to friends but would tell them the downside as well.

I bought teacher and student book. The lesson can be improved. Good for group setting. Should cater one student.

The lessons are designed for groups of kids, not for individuals. Therefore it's not very good for homeschooling when you have only one child in that grade.
