This is the best booklet ever written on adoption, because it goes straight to the heart of the adoption issue - identity. Many books try to give to you solutions to many different problems and they can be helpful, but this booklet is foundational & I have given away many copies of it. Every person who has adopted or is thinking of adopting should read it.

I didn't disagree with anything the author said, but there wasn't a lot of information here. My husband and I have adopted three children and are now raising a grandaughter. All three of our children have struggled with their adoption identity. Adoption is hard work. I was hoping for more practical advice on what we could have done differently. This is a small pamphlet not a book.
