CrustybugAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Learn the excitement of Heaven!!January 12, 2012CrustybugAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I read a few reviews before purchasing this book, most of them great, but a few that felt, to put it nicely, that Randy Alcorn thinks too far outside the box. I, on the other hand, absolutely LOVE the book for that very reason. He dares to go to God in expectation! He asks the very same questions that most Christians ask and has been given answers that not only satisfy, but awaken that deep longing in our spirits for our real home, Heaven. Though I know God has a plan for my life here and now on this earth, and though I have always been glad that I have Heaven to look forward to rather than Hell, after reading this book I am not only excited, but am like a child waiting to open a birthday or Christmas gift months before the day arrives!! I heartily recommend this book and have purchased it for three other people!!

Gretchen - IndianaAge: 55-65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5A Remarkable Book to Wet Your Appetite for HeavenJuly 18, 2021Gretchen - IndianaAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The book, Heaven, is among the top ten best books I have ever read. It is forty-six chapters, made up of about eight to ten pages each. Every chapter is divided into small sections under a different title, which makes it easy to find a stopping place. However, the easy-to-read writing style and interesting subject matter make it difficult to put down, and while you can't wait to finish the book, you also wish it would never end!
When going on a trip, we often look at information to find out all we can about what all there is to see and do, to enjoy our time there. The book, Heaven, helps all the more to look forward to what awaits us as Christians. Since the Bible itself says to "set our minds on things above" for our encouragement (Colossians 3:2), reading this book will definitely help you do that and help equip you to be able to encourage others concerning Heaven.
The book isn't made up of stories, near-death or after-death experiences, but rather it scripturally lays out much of what Heaven will be like. It stretches your imagination to really think beyond what you have been taught or heard about Heaven. It answers many of the questions we all have about what Heaven will be like...what we'll do there, whether our beloved pets will be there, etc. It is a fascinating book that wets the appetite for going to Heaven. I absolutely loved it and found it intriguing. I believe you would, too.

lolaAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5This book uses effectively the word of God.May 14, 2013lolaAge: 35-44Gender: femaleI like how the writer quotes verses from the bible and at the same time gives his opinion trying not to form his own theory or ideas. The writer has done a good research about heaven and I liked it because you usually don't get this information from a pulpil at church. It helps to continue with your faith knowing that God has something special for us in eternity. And I like the expectation of seeing him face to face.
