Silver want's revenge on the man who jilted her, but to get that she must join forces with Jared Newman. They don't trust each other, but they'll have to work together if they want to get things done!
This book was literally addictive and I had to keep reading! The action and overall story line was amazing that I read it in one day and then reread my favorite parts! Silver was a very fascinating character, and though I found it a little predicable, it was a fun read. I didn't know what was going to happen toward the end, and found it very satisfying.
I haven't read a western themed book in awhile so this was a good change - a really good and inspiring romance novel! -
wfnrenSt Cloud, FLAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A good historical novelAugust 1, 2014wfnrenSt Cloud, FLAge: 55-65Gender: femaleI started out feeling sorry for Silver, for more reasons than one, then admired her for her fearlessness to go after what belonged to her family at all cost. Jared's reason for becoming a bounty hunter was heart wrenching and I liked how he allowed Silver to travel with him, he felt he didn't have a choice, even though he knew he shouldn't. Robin kept me on the edge of my seat at times, sometimes I found myself thinking she shouldn't to do that, she has to do something, he told her not to, DARN, I can't tell you if she did or not, you'll have to read the book! The book moves right along even though there wasn't much talkig to each other except for one giving orders and the other taking orders, or does she?

Booklover105 Stars Out Of 5Love the new styleJune 7, 2014Booklover10Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Heart's Pursuit, Large Print.I always look forward to any book that is by Robin Lee Hatcher. She tells such wonderful stories and I know that I won't be disappointed by them. I liked this side of her writing, though it wasn't her typical style (and she admits that). She did a wonderful job capturing my attention and getting me excited about her book.
I really like the cover of this book. It's beautifully done and I think it easily shows what the book is about and the type of book. The font on the title of the book is perfect for the cover, too. Well done!
I was a little surprised at the amount of action that was in this book. It has romance, but it also has many exciting scenes of suspense and action. It's probably not considered much to those who like to read a lot of action novels, but for me, this was just the right amount that I could handle!
Silver is one of those people that I think many want to be. She's not your typical woman and I think that's why I like her so much. She never acts helpless, but isn't afraid to fight for justice. I liked imagining her on her horse and in control.... or at least acting like it! She has to learn to do some trusting along the way, though.
I am looking forward to the next book in the Christian Romance series.

VicsMediaRoomIrvine, CAAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Bounty Hunter, Vengeance, Healing and RomanceJune 7, 2014VicsMediaRoomIrvine, CAAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Robin Lee Hatcher in her new book, "The Heart's Pursuit" published by Zondervan brings us into the lives of Silver Matlock and Jared Newman.
From the Back Cover: A jilted bride desperate to save her family from ruin.
A bounty hunter seeking vengeance for a ravaged past.
An arduous trek toward justice—or redemption.
Silver Matlock and Jared Newman know traveling together is a bad idea. Bad for Silver's already tarnished reputation in her small Colorado town. Bad for bounty hunter Jared's secret, single-minded mission for revenge. But Silver is determined to track down the rogue who left her at the altar and stole the last remnant of her father's fortune. And Jared's in a hurry to hunt down the murderer who destroyed his family—even if Silver is too distractingly beautiful for comfort.
The pair takes off over mountain and desert, past bleak homesteads and raw mining towns, hot on the trail of the two villains who took what wasn't theirs to take. Soon supplies dwindle, secrets emerge, and suspicion leave Silver and Jared at odds when they need each other most. To confront an enemy deadlier than desert rattlesnakes and rocky cliffs, Silver and Jared must learn to forgive and trust and face the question they haven't dared voice: What happens next?
Robin Lee Hatcher never fails to deliver a great story that we know in advance that when we sit down to read it we are just going to enjoy ourselves immensely. Both Silver and Jared want vengeance for different reasons from the same man and, together, they are tracking this man across the West. Both of them are emotionally wounded individuals who are filled with hurt and anger and they are going to have to come to terms with this before God so that He can heal them and they can have a healthy future. It is getting to that point that puts all the fun and excitement in the story. A jilted bride, a bounty hunter, danger, mysteries, and surprises are just some of the ingredients that Ms. Hatcher has incorporated into this book. On top of everything there is a romance. Ms. Hatcher has given us characters that are marvelous, meticulously crafted, and each one literally breathes on the pages. Robin Lee Hatcher has written a well done novel that I liked a lot. I hope there will be a sequel.

ASC Book ReviewsNMAge: 18-24Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Awesome read!!!June 4, 2014ASC Book ReviewsNMAge: 18-24Gender: femaleThere really hasn't been anything that I've read from Robin that I haven't liked! The Heart's Pursuit definitely continues that! I love how Robin writes! She doesn't bog the story down with details and she gets her characters moving. I especially love her new style in this book!!! The beginning is awesome grabbing you right from the get go! As these two travel she doesn't put in every single moment or ever single day; she gives important scenes and keeps them moving and the plot flowing with twist after twist! I LOVE Silver, she is a fantastic character and I really relate with her in some areas, but not in others. Not a completely pampered miss, she can hold her own on a horse and with a gun! She's not always a damsel in distress which I loved and her grit and determination are admirable! The chase is on as thieves and killers try to out run justice, but is it truly justice that Silver and Jared seek? This is one of my favorites from Robin, if not my favorite, of everything I've read from her so far! ;) With suspense and a great mystery within the hunt I highly recommend this read!!!
