If you love dogs, or have ever known the joy of one who was a very special friend and companion, this will tug at your heart, and, no doubt, bring tears along with recall of some very special memories.

It is language and story-line appropriate for the whole family, but the story is most appealing for the pre-teen or older group. Younger children may not grasp the story well enough to appreciate it.

While there are a few awkward time-lapse sequences, it is overall well-done and worth watching.

Clean movie about the loyalty of a dog & his owner's love for him. My teenage son won't watch it again because it's such a tear-jerker, though.

I'm a dog lover and was really moved by Hachi's loyalty to his owner. If we also prove our loyalty to our Saviour- Jesus Christ- the world would be a better place.

A great movie, for all audiences! Shows what true love and loyalty are about. When Hachi finally dies, after waiting patiently for his master and friend for almost ten years, he is ultimately reunited with him as he passes over into death. Hachi and his master also get to enjoy and relive their youth and viitality in the afterlife, which to me is heaven. The movie was slow to start, but picked up pace with a profound ending.

We gave this to our grandson. Everyone watched it for our new year celebration. It was sad but left us all a little more determined to love both our animal friends and our families more this coming year. Well done. Worth watching again.
