I would recommend this to anyone just starting out homeschooling. They are easy to understand and self explanatory.

My son has struggled with English. He is diagnosed adhd and also struggles with dyslexia. Other curricula I have tried for him either did not cover enough or was worded in such a way that caused even more confusion. These are much easier for him to understand, and he is gaining confidence with the spiral learning. The sections within the paces are long enough to practice the concepts taught, yet short enough to not become overwhelming.

I like that it encourages cursive handwriting by reviewing the cursive alphabet so answers can be written in script, and is Christian faith based. I will be ordering ACE Paces again for him next year.

We have tried several curricula for our daughter in the past, some workbooks like this, some on the computer, online, but this is the first one she seemed to enjoy doing.

My 8th grade child was immediately insulted that there was an alphabet review, seriously, on the very first page of the book and again in the middle. What in the world are we saying about an 8th grader if we feel the need to review the alphabet? This book is far below grade level in many areas and okay in others. Although it is well laid out and easy to understand I would recommended going several grades above your child's actual grade to really challenge them.
