I love that these are layed out very well. all that you need is put in the paces and lessons are easy to follow and understand. it teaches strong character building foundations that kids will use far beyond their grade school days.

must be diligent and organized. i would definitely recommend!

English III has a strong founding fathers basis as pertains to Literature & has much information relating the important English writers of our history to their Bible based beliefs. I really like the Scripture references & emphasis on Bible principles in these PACEs. The Wisdom PACs in each PACE are very helpful in their approach to teach basic wisdom principles to teenagers concerning the importance of making the right choices at this very important time in their lives.

I don't have complaints in the curriculum overall ... yet ... however, my daughter is currently working through the second booklet and it asks her to open Word Building 1067--which is from the 6th grade curriculum!--and answer some questions based on what she sees on certain pages from Word Building 1067. Hello! We don't have that curriculum, because this is the first year we're trying out the PACE English curriculum. On the one hand, it's a no-never mind. I'm certainly not docking her points because she can't answer the seven questions. But on the other hand, it's ridiculous to assume that students are going to follow just one curriculum throughout their entire school career and will have a specific book on hand in order to answer questions from a workbook five years later. Some parents end up throwing out booklets after a few years have passed! How many other places over the next ten booklets will we find this happening? I'm guessing not many, but it just rubs me the wrong way.

Other than that, however, I have no complaints. We have had trouble finding a good English curriculum since we started homeschooling her in her 8th grade year (she's now in 11th grade), and so far, this is our favorite choice. My daughter is weak on grammar, and this curriculum is strengthening her in that area without a lot of headache.
