I don't know of another product that combines art & art history with a Christian Perspective. I am thrilled that we found it. My boys were not interested in art history but this was a great way to get a Christian perspective on Art History, get them to try a little drawing, a little painting, without overwelming them.

I used this book over 2 years with a variety of ages at once from highschool down to age 8. We didn't finish the whole program, just chose what went with our history study. My younger children liked the kids drawings, because it made them feel like they could do that, or better. The older ones liked the more detailed drawings. I learned a lot from the readings. I read them separately from the art lessons to keep from being overwhelmed.

This is a great art program infused with Christian History. I would recommend this to anyone! My children 6 to 13 all love it! It is also very parent friendly, just read straight from the book. I have NO art experience and can easily use this.

We've only begun using this program and I'm really enjoying it. I like the content but I do wish the layout was a little less compact since it would be easier to visually digest. The artist bios and picture study are well done and the correlating projects do a good job of utilizing the basic skills taught in book one.I definitely appreciate the Christian perspective.

This book is in my top my top five out of a hundred Arts teaching books that I have used regularly to instruct my students, young and old. Barry Stebbing's vision and research are perfectly attuned to the Christian art lover, especially those with nudity prohibitions in the Arts.
