Pole to pole and sea to sea, your kids will have a
ball learning about their world! This 12" diameter globe is also a fun electronic, out-loud quiz game. It features more than 10,000 questions and facts, and has programmable skill levels for one to four players. Requires four C-cell batteries or an AC adapter (not included).
GeoSafari Talking Globe
At the time of our order, the price was significantly reduced for Christmas. This, of course, was a plus. I resented that the AC Adaptor was not included and, at $10.99, feel it's a significant increase to the bottom-line. But, considering the alternative of FOUR "C" batteries, I don't regret the purchase. Regarding the product itself? I'd recommend it. I think the globe in itself is worth the money. I do feel my 8-year old might be a bit young for the quizes. The questions are very challenging (even for myself at 40+) and he can get very frustrated. I think it's important to take the approach that it is a "learning" tool vs. the child expecting to show off all their geographical knowledge! The device does have a help option which often gives you additional "clues", it has the ability to repeat questions which helps to pick up the various nuances of the questions and you can choose an answer response time (up to 2 minutes)! I would encourage the child to take advantage of all of these options inorder to respond more effectively. I do wish the device would go a "step beyond" and tell you what the correct answer is! In cases other than multiple choice it just mentions you're wrong. It would be nice to know why!

It is very nice quiz practicing product.Without anybody,s help kids can practice. Kids can improve their skill slowly. You can take the device anywhere you can. My daughter likes it. Sometimes she takes in the car(only quiz device).
