Leon Morris has written a tremendously helpful commenatary on Paul's Epistle to the Galatians (for the novice-intermediate student). While certainly not comparable to the standard commentaries by Betz (Hermenia), Bruce (NIGTC), and Longenecker (WBC), this commentary is excellent. It is probably the best commentary on Galatians in its class. It is well-written with an excellent supply of detailed exegesis/information in the copious notes. For the beginner, Morris' commentary is the place to begin. I heartily recommend it.

Morris' work on Galatians is a surprisingly good read. I enjoyed it. It is not deep, but it is edifying and comprehensive. It would be one I would use for a Bible Study, or give to a laymen to read. Yet, it is comprehensive enough for a Pastor to use in his study. It is a commentary that will feed your soul, as well as your head. It has good detail, but not overly so. One will find value in this work. It will give you a good grasp of this epistle.
