It is rare that Scripture, science, and history align with each other, yet the last three series of Four Blood Moons have done exactly that. Are these the "signs" that God refers to in His Word? If they are, what do they mean? What is their prophetic significance?
In this riveting book, New York Times best-selling author, Pastor John Hagee, explores the supernatural connection of certain celestial events to biblical prophecy-and to the future of God's chosen people and to the nations of the world.
Just as in biblical times, God is controlling the sun, the moon, and the stars to send our generation a signal that something big is about to happen. The question is: Are we watching and listening to His message?

Aside from the chronological problem (because we would have to experience the first 5 seals before this would happen, if we take a literal, chronological reading of Revelation 6), Hagee openly discusses how this has happened multiple other times throughout history, which causes me to personally believe that the "moon turning to blood" in the Tribulation will be something different from this and far more singular.
Additionally, there are multiple things in this book that, from my perspective, completely undermine Hagee's credibility.
First, the beginning section of his book is clearly written for non-Christians or Christians who are extremely unfamiliar with the Bible, yet in the midst of that of that he mentions dispensationalism in passing and bases part of his argument on it. This is one camp of theology, and highly debatable, so I find slipping this in under the radar of those not Scripturally experienced enough to know the implications of the entire debate to be terribly sneaky.
He also erroneously claims that the entire post-tribulation argument can be summed up in one verse, "refutes" that reading of that verse in a way that actually does not refute it because it ignores the actual argument and all the other places in Scripture that post-tribulationists base their views on, and then goes on to hint that mid-tribulationists and post-tribulationists are not actually saved. All views on if the rapture will occur before, midway through, or after the Tribulation are based on far more Scripture than one verse, a refutation cannot possibly be done with any shred of academic integrity in only a few paragraphs, and saying that some Christians are not saved because of a doctrinal difference that has absolutely nothing to do with salvation is divisive, anti-Biblical, and I would say downright wicked.
Another thing: The blood moon we witnessed on April 15, 2014 was visible to the United States, but not to Israel. If these are indeed God's prophetic signs to Israel, as Hagee claims, I would certainly think Israel could actually see them!
Hagee also at one point in the book identifies David as Jesus' "great-great grandfather." This detail is woefully inaccurate - simply read Matthew 1. If I can't trust Hagee to get such an easy detail correct, how can I trust the rest of what he has to say?
I would advise that only Christians who are very solid in their knowledge of Scripture and especially End Times prophecy read this book.

Romans 13, verse 1 states clearly that God is in charge of who is in power. Verse 2 states that those who bad-mouth the government are bad-mouthing what God has instituted. John Hagee does this as if he feels that God is not capable of laying out events to suit His own plan for the ages.
I bought this book to learn about astronomical events serving as signposts for that plan, but found very little of that and more stumping for right-wing causes. Mr. Hagee uses his bully pulpit well to encourage his followers to fight the democrats (the poor) and champion the republicans (the rich). He even quotes Fox News as if it is a legitimate news reporting agency.
This type of behavior is condemned in Romans 13:2 and rendered unnecessary by Romans 13:1. God is in control of the powers that be. If you believe Him then there is no reason to get involved in politics.
Anytime you come down into the political arena on either side of any issue, you have made enemies of half the people. Jesus was strictly apolitical. They came to make Him king by force and He escaped out of their hands. --The Jewish people were under a hated and brutal Roman occupation yet Jesus never roused the people to fight the power. -Christians with 20,000 followers today would; and why? -To protect Christians' Rights!!! (and THEIR empire) Ridiculous! If you died with Christ, what rights do you as a dead person have? We are here to serve, not to do away with sin by law. God tried that -it didn't work. He sent His son to change peoples' hearts, not their political affiliation. Only the Holy Spirit can change a person's heart and He doesn't work through the legislature!
All of this worldly political activity is undermining Jesus' mission, which was "to seek and to save that which was lost."
I was very disappointed that the Title was just a come-on for Hagee's political propaganda and I'm very sorry that he profited off of me.

Absolutely awesome as it is so informative. Found it very difficult to put down when I began to read it and fully plan to read it again a few more times as we are nearing the the time of the first blood moon. It emphasizes the awesomeness of our great and wonderful God. Thank you John Hagee for writing this book.
