"My first year of motherhood I lost prayer..."
I lost early mornings of quiet, mornings in my pajamas with a Bible in my lap, mornings when I spoke my mind's chaos into God's ear and let the chaos come back ordered, holy sealed. I lost peace. I lost clarity and certitude. My faith was never perfect before my son was born, but somewhere in that first year, somewhere in my distraction and exhaustion, I lost the Spirit-life I had known. I blamed myself.

I read Micha's words and my breathing slows. She gives perspective. And hope. And a refreshing lightness to not take what doesn't matter too seriously. She revives: When you order the tangle of your days around Him, He untangles you. She moves: The moments all matter. The daily awareness of the small add up to the whole of your life, and her words are like a dawn, stirring you to wake and walk.
I read Micha Boyett's journey into prayer as any blackbelt sinner will, by which I mean anybody will-with sheer delight at her graceful language and riveting struggle for a hard-won faith. In a sense Found is a deep, sweet invitation into God's loving presence. A must read for nonbelievers and believers alike.
-Mary Karr, poet and best-selling author of The Liars' Club and Lit
With this beautiful book, Micha Boyett opens a door to Benedictine spirituality through which regular, busy people can enter and taste, see, smell, hear, and feel what it means to live life as a prayer.
-Rachel Held Evans, author of A Year of Biblical Womanhood
Micha is singing the longings of all the tired mother pilgrims. Every word is like motherhood: elegant, earthy, loving, and present.
-Sarah Bessey, author of Jesus Feminist
For anyone who's ever gotten prayer all tangled up in performance-this one's for you.
-Addie Zierman, author of When We Were on Fire
If you're like me, you've grown weary of a culture that demands the sensationalistic, the glamorous, the extraordinary. Micha Boyett is in search for the beauty in the everyday, the prayer that hides itself in dinners and diapers and naps. She is as skilled of a tour guide for Benedictine spirituality as she is for her own story, and in these pages you will find that the sacred has been there all along.
-Adam S. McHugh, author of Introverts in the Church

As a wife, mom, blogger and former youth minister, Micha Boyett shares a deeply personal account of learning to truly pray from the heart, accepting that her place in life at the present moment is genuinely important, and realizing she is not alone in the spiritual chaos she has experienced since the birth of her children.
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Written through beautiful prose, the author takes us on a journey through Benedictine spirituality to discover prayer in everyday situations of life. Part journal, part memoir, and part story, Micha Boyett pens an alluring yet delicate rendering of coming to terms with her own importance as a person, though her course in life may have changed. Very knowledgeable of the Benedictine prayer life, the author causes us to stop and ponder our own true worth, as well as the sincerity and purity behind prayer. Appropriate for any age, either gender, this book would be a most-welcomed gift by a new mom. I look forward to searching out her blog having read her book.
