This review was written for Firewall, FBI: Houston Series #1 -eBook.
This is excellent. It is very well written and it was hard to put down. I so much appreciate a tense drama without the crude language and vulgarity. Technology and international motivations were clearly explained (a plus for me, a reader who wants a little more explanation). The buildup and the action grab you. The romance was low-key, and the twists toward the end were great. The recap was nicely done.

I got this book from BookFun.com to read and review. I loved how Ms Mills portrayed Taryn Young and Grayson Hall the characters in Firewall. This was an FBI thriller filled with betrayals, bombings and espionage. you just wanted to find out who were all the players in this case. Both Taryn and Grayson had their own personal weaknesses that they needed to overcome. They are a perfect example of how when you depend on God, he will carry you to the end. Taryn needed God to help her clear her name after the she was suspected of being a terrorist and Grayson needed to know that God is truly in control.

What an exciting book! This book kept my attention from the first page and throughout the whole book. This is the 1st book in the Houston Series by Diann Mills. Taryn Young is a young newlywed getting ready to board a plane with her new fianc. While she is in the restroom, a bomb explodes injuring and killing numerous people. When Taryn comes out of the restroom, she finds her new fianc is gone. Questions are being asked and Taryn and her new fianc are under suspicion for setting the bomb. Agent Grayson Hall comes on the scene and he has to answer the hard questionIs Taryn really responsible for this horrendous act? This book has lots of suspense and also some romance to go along with it. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone! I received this book from bookfun for my honest opinion.

DiAnn Mills in her new book, Firewall Book One in the FBI: Houston series published by Zondervan gives us a new adventure with Kariss Walker and Tigo Harris.

From the back cover: After a whirlwind romance, Taryn Young is preparing to board a plane at Houston International Airport, bound for a dream honeymoon, when a bomb decimates the terminal. Injured but still alive, she awakens to discover her husband is missing and theyre both considered prime suspects in the attack. Further, the FBI is convinced her husband isnt who he appears to be.

Agent Grayson Halls number-one priority is to catch those responsible for the days act of terror. All evidence is pointing to Taryn and her new husband. But his instinct tells him her pleas of innocence are genuine. Is her naivet just for show, or could she truly be another victim of a master scheme, possibly linked to the software she recently developed for her company?

With both their lives and reputations on the line, and the media outcry for justice increasing with each passing minute, Taryn and Grayson have no choice but to trust one another . . . and pray they can uncover the truth before they become two more casualties.

A bombing act of terror at the airport, murder and a kidnapping are just some of the ingredients that Ms. Mills puts in this top notch mystery thriller. There is also the husband who seems not to be who he claims to be, Taryn, who is so clueless as to what is going on and keeps making mistakes that make her look more and more guilty and Grayson, the agent who believes her and is determined to find out the truth. Firewall is a thriller in that the main characters lives are put in deadly danger through the course of these investigations. I think this is Ms. Mills best work yet and her characters are well-defined. Once the action gets going Ms. Mills revs up the thriller quotient considerably which will have you reading and flipping pages as fast as you can. Dont start this book late at night because it will be very difficult to put it down or stop thinking about it. I recommend this book highly and am greatly looking forward to the next book in the series.
