This movie spoke volumes about what can actually happen in a marriage if that marriage is not kept and maintained by both spouses. Marriage takes two people who have come from different household functioning as one in the marriage. This takes God. It takes three to make a marriage work: the married partners (the man and his wife AND GOD Himself). This movie reflects a happy ending for this marriage that seemed to already be doomed, but there's nothing impossible with the Almighty God. Nothing is too hard for God. Very inspirational movie. You have to watch it with an open mind seeing things from God's perspective.
This movie was actually more than I expected. My husband and I are pastor and first lady of a church. We have noticed that there are so many Christian marriages that are struggling to stay together. We purchased this movie because we are planning to begin classes for marriages and families. We purchased several DVDs so that each couple can view them before the marriage bible studies. I really loved this movie.
Though the acting was not Academy-Award worthy, the message and content of this film were excellent. I love how they showed a real marriage having real everyday arguments and trying to hold onto the love they once had. I bought this movie for me and my husband as an anniversary gift to us. Our marriage, thank God, is not at all in strife, but it never hurts to do some enriching. We watched it together and had a good time. As a result, I began doing the Love Dare on my husband because the movie made me realize that I should show him more appreciation. I'm on day 10 and so far so good! I have already leant the movie to a coworker.
